Background and Objectives

The main objective of EYE4Ukraine is to help build business relationships between young and potential Ukrainian entrepreneurs and experienced EU business owners, and to strengthen entrepreneurial links between EU and Ukrainian businesses.
EYE4Ukraine intends to recruit 155 New Entrepreneurs (NEs) and 90 Host Entrepreneurs (HE) to be engaged in 148 business collaborations together (RLT), assisting them in their exchange, allowing the aspiring and NE to develop their skills regarding business management, opening new perspective to experienced entrepreneurs as well as contributing to the development and convergence of UA SMEs through Europe.
The countries covered by EYE4Ukraine are Spain, Ukraine, Slovenia, Slovakia, Italy and Poland, with Ukraine as a key factor in each action and approach to development.
In line with point 2.2 Themes and Priorities of the call of proposals, EYE4Ukraine will also recruit and build up business relations among business and new entrepreneurs from the digital (44 RLT) and green/sustainable sectors (44 RLT).
It also incorporates objectives in terms of gender equality and promotion of women in business with an objective of the 65% of the NEs per country, except for the UA IO, which will have the 85% ; and with the 40% of the HEs per country (except for the UA IO, 15%). In that regard, the project is in line with several policy decisions and frameworks at EU level such as EU2027, Next Generation, EYE and Sigle Market programme (previous COSME), the European Green Deal, the Twin Transition, the fir for 55 package measures and Gender Equality Strategy 2020-2025 and, in particular and for this specific call, the Association Agreement (AA) with Ukraine, its Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA) and the Priority Action Plan for 2023-2024.
