Transnational and interregional cooperation

Since 2000, Gorenjska has been successfully participating in the cross-border cooperation programmes both on a transnational and interregional level. BSC and the Regional Development Council of Gorenjska have established official contacts with different regions and organizations both inside and outside the EU. Connections with foreign regions enable the transfer of important experience and knowledge included in the Gorenjska Regional Development Programme for the Period 2007 - 2013. 

In the period 2007 - 2013, Gorenjska will be able to participate in the following programmes of transnational and interregional cooperation:

  • Alpine Space II,
  • CADSES South East Europe,
  • CADSES Central East Space,
  • Mediterranean,
  • Theme programme (Interreg IV C),
  • Norwegian Fund.

During the new period, close cooperation with Balkan and other non-EU countries will take place through several EU programmes and economic agents. 

Our services

BSC Kranj has a professional team of experts with broad experience in transnational and interregional programmes and projects. Thus, it provides help to public institutions and companies search for partnerships, develop and implement cross-border projects. Moreover, BSC has a wide cross-border network of regional development institutions.
